Fatbiking in South Lapland

Adventure starts in Syöte National Park and from the Syöte Visitor Center in the morning and continues with one day biking in most beautiful views in Syöte national park. During the fat-biking your guide will tell you about areas interesting history. Route takes you to places along a period of beautiful hills, bogs and ponds. We'll visit the old spruce forest, have a nice coffee break in the wooden shelter and experience the canyons and lakes in quiet and peaceful South Lapland. 

 

First day ends to a silent forest and lake area. Dinner is made together by the open fire and after a delicious food experience the night will be spent in a remote wilderness hut or in a tent by the quiet lake shore, even in winter! Have you spent your night in wilderness, under a bright arctic sky before, in total silence? 

 

Next day starts with the healthy breakfast. Tour with the fat bikes follows the route between hills and along the small lake chain connected with small rivers and rapids. In winter the same tour will be made on the thick ice. ​Delicious soup lunch with local bread and berry juice will be served in the nature, of course by the open fire.

 

This moderate trip is for a bit more experienced bikers during the winter season, in spring, summer and autumn it is suitable for everyone in ages beginning from 12. You should be able to drive a bike 20 km / day in variable terrain.

  • Price: 295 € / person. Price includes: Guiding services, fat -bike, equipment for fat-biking, breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner. Mattress, tent / equipment for accommodation, sleeping bag.  

  • By additional cost: Transport from Oulu airport / bus / railway station

  • Available: Whole year on request. 

  • Duration: Approx. 30 km in two days, may be tailored suitable for you

  • Persons: min. 2 - max. 8 persons

  • Suitable for: Everyone with good fitness level

  • Equipment: Water, snack for the tour and evening. Customers have their own outdoor equipment according to the weather conditions. Equipment are also for rent cheaply from Hikes`n Trails.

  • Level of difficulty: Moderate, basic fitness level is required. A backpack with a snack and clothes will be carried on variable terrain from 6 - 8 hours in one day

  • We reserve all the rights to change the order of the activities or the content of the program if necessary due to the weather or other conditions!
