Winter Day - Snowshoeing trip to Riisitunturi National Park

Welcome to experience the magical winter landscapes of Riisitunturi National Park with snowshoes!

Experience the magical winter landscapes of Riisitunturi National Park on a guided day snowshoeing hike through its world‑famous snow‑covered “tykky”candle trees and serene fell scenery.

This small‑group day-adventure is designed for travelers who want an authentic, peaceful, and visually stunning encounter with Lapland’s winter wilderness. Your local guide leads you safely along a scenic route, sharing stories about nature, wildlife, and the unique conditions that shape Riisitunturi’s iconic winter world.

On this snowshoeing day-trip, you will explore Finland in the region of Posio, Southern Lapland. The remote area is absolutely a perfect place to enjoy the classic Lapland nature. Our guide will lead you safely in peaceful areas through the snow-white forests up to the fell, along the ridges, and over the frozen mires.

You will have an opportunity to photograph landscapes, snow-covered trees and forests, frozen bogs and ponds, beautiful fell-top sceneries, and of course, if you are lucky, the magnificent Auroras - Northern lights!

The trek of approx. 5 to 6 hours will be walked partly in deep and thick snow. The terrain is variable, with many ups and downs.

During the trip, we will serve you hot soup lunch with sandwich and hot drinks.

This holiday gives you the opportunity to meet yourself surrounded by healing white, old forests, fells, and frozen mires. Welcome, and enjoy!
